CANCER - WHAT TO DO

Every 4th of February is set aside as World Cancer Day to create awareness about the disease. Cancer is a group of diseases that result from uncontrolled multiplication of cells that are abnormal. T he disease kills about 8 million people worldwide in 2015 alone and half of this figure is in the working population.   HOW CAN CANCER BE REDUCED?  One can reduce cancer by a observing a number of steps.  These include:   1. Cutting down on drinks   2. Reducing weights and or obesity which are linked to poor diet and lack of exercise.   3. Taking at least two servings of fruits and three servings of vegetables daily.   4. Taking foods rich in fibre and cutting down on processed foods.  5. Avoiding diets rich in red meat.   6. Avoiding too much exposure to the sun because of the melanoma from over exposure to the sun's harmful ultraviolet rays.   7. Stop smoking.   8. Engaging in a fruitful exercise at least one hour daily to help the heart pump more.   LEADING CAUSES OF CA
