2. Wine can also help in fighting cold. This is achieved by taking wine when one has a cold which could bring the feeling of stuffiness and the throat sore. Red wine in particular is rich in antioxidants that can reduce the risk of developing a cold by 40%.

3.  Wine also plays a vital role in longevity. It contains  compounds known as procyanidins which help in promotion of cardiovascular health. Wine can also help in the promotion of good cholesterol which may actually reduce bad cholesterol in the body.

4. Polyphenols present in red wine act as antioxidants which can help keep the blood vessels flexible thereby, reducing blood clotting.

5. Wine taken in moderation can help in inducing good sleep. A good glass of wine can be enough relax the mind and body This can help one to drop off gently into sleep.
